A starry-eyed forest ranger, Jackie rescues the hunk of her dreams from a cliffside motorcycle accident. She falls in lust and immediately marries Hendrix, a flaky under-employed artist. The fairy tale beginning spirals to disaster as they're besieged by Hendrix's needy children, jealous ex-wife and Jackie's alcoholic father. They discover it takes deep compassion to keep their love alive.
